i've seen another shot with someone holding it (can't find it now), and it looked about the size or marginally smaller than an xbox - allowing for the differing aspect ratio.
maybe it was just a little guy holding it?

PS3 is way bigger than PS2.. try holding ur PS2 like the way that smiling japanese guy did... my palm reached more then half of the bottom of the PS2.. and the guy with the PS3 didnt or reach exactly half.. so therefore the width of the PS3 is longer... or that guy has small hands... i dunno..

People from that part of the world are, on average, much smaller than people in Europe. So, to him, the console might look large, but to me it looks about the same size as the original PS2.
I dont think it looks huge at all, and considering Sony say it is more powerful than any current home PC gaming wise, it aint too big.
But it does not come with a hard drive built in.. !

i bet if you ripped the top off it would have a lot off empty space inside, much like the original ps2. i would have expected something smaller than that in size, if not quite as small as the slimline ps2.

Well on one of the E3 videos i watched,they said it wud be around $300 cus gamers wont pay much more than that for a games console,thats about £170 in the UK.
Maybe i'll wait a bit after its release before i get one
