I don't exactly know when we got the K700. It was either August or november so optimism is good because its probably going to be the same story again. We didn't get the K300 yet.

Yes, I guess if you're looking at it that way then the news is really nice. Actually I would put
as 3rd in Egypt after Nokia and Samsung, but then the gap is quite huge. A nice aspect of aiming for no.3 is that they'll start putting more effort into other markets since it seems to have attained a strong place in western Europe. That means a little attention will be given to us, we are a pretty big market afterall, but then they might concentrate more on places like Asia first.
To tell the truth I'll only start feeling optimistic when
gets a second dealer in Egypt. And NOT Ring. I've heard their service isn't great and their devision Connect is clueless. They advertise the D500 to have only 32MB more than it actually does.

Hey all, anyone try out the D500.. its amazing.. works wel in egypt but wish vodafone egypt supported edge because i found out a way to get the d500 working on edge.. too bad..

Why don't you just put it in you're signature? Also I doubt any of us are going to buy a D500 soon
Mobinil says today in Alahram that it's going to introduce EDGE soon so you might want to change to Mobinil. I think Vodafone will skip EDGE and go for 3G some time soon, like around 2007.
And just because any company is going to offer EDGE doesn't mean they will offer cheaper prices for data. They'd probably charge more.
