Since Scotsboy answered the British Raj bit of your reply let me clarify the integration bit.
Since you mentioned India, I don't know whether you noticed that the Indians in this country while being the biggest minority group are well integrated while the Pakistanis and the people from the middle east are the ones who are reluctant to integrate.
If you closely notice the even muslims from India and India have the largest muslim population in the world after Indonesia, are less agressive and less orthodox in the way they don't wear Hijabs, they don't grow big beards and at the swame time shave thier mustaches etc. Don't you think this has some thing to do with the facts that India is a democracy, they have a very good educational system there and above all they are a Secular country so the thoughts of people are also more secular.
Now I agree there are muslim doctors here but I don't think they constitute a big number as majority of the overseas doctors and nurses in this country are form India. India and Philipines are the main countries HS recruit from. Again as every one knows Muslim countries give very little importance to proper education (not religious education)
so the chance there can be a lot of Muslim doctors is very less however I agree I don't have acurate numbers with me.

Again if you look back at the previous posts the debate was actually about while the British people respect the everyday muslims and give them every oppurtunity and teach their religion in government schools the Muslims in this country hate us (I know not all of them but quite a lot of them) so the request was to the Muslims ot show respect to our culture in this country and also show some respect to other cultures and religions in Muslim countries.
