@HOBBS: I'm not liking it one bit but in the same breath I WON'T blame Eskom for our current woes...basically they told government almost 10 yrs ago that we needed more powerstations and they just sat back and played with themselves. T-Boz already issued a mea culpa but that's too late coz this is costing the country money...if I owned a bar I'd be royally pissed right now.
PS: Was driving back from Rondebosch just now and have to give kudos to drivers on the road for their considerate approach, especially at intersections where traffic lights went out.

@ all thanx, I love the cam on this phone, It enables me to take some good shots
@ hobbs, i dont really have strong 3G signal in my room so it varies between about 500-900 kbps, which is quick enough for browsing...

Yeah you right Brix.I heard the same thing.Thabo must go.Off with his head.Flog the bugger.lol Wow, that one lasted hours on end.Woke up about five this morning with my fan going. And it was almost everywhere. As far as I know we were blacked out-sea point, newlands and as brixs said rondebosch and as far as manenburg.
Im going to update my phones firmware to R6D23 today and Im as nervous as shit. What if half way through my update,BAM! power gone.Ouch, thats going to hurt. But Im determined.Only reason why Im even bothering is because of one niggly thingymagich, the thumbnail in picture gallery and contact thumbnails are slightly blurry.Has been like that since I got the phone and after doing some homework on the pro's of this update, thats one of the things that are sorted out. Also they say a New opera 8 version is also installed which is quicker than the last one.A lot of people out there talk about certain bugs are fixed through this update but 'millions' of other bugs are introduced and sometimes I wonder about these folk.Who they are and what are their intentions? I've never ever experienced half the shite these people spew from their beks.
Im curious to find out how many P990's were sold worldwide.Anyone know.Ive googled and come up with niks.Would be interesting to know such infomation.

Hobbs
Do you have a broadband connection there or are you using the P990 as a modem? I want to update my N81's FW but im using my N80 as my 3G modem, abit scared that it will loose connection. I saw the change log for the new N81 FW and OMG it is one long*ss changelog, A LOT of bugs i havent noticed, im also wondering how people encounter some of these bugs because i encounter very few which are fixed in the new V11.0.045 FW.
Im sure the P990 sold pretty well for a smartphone

especialy when the price droppd last year
