Just got my MBP back from the store because the screen was getting replaced, sometimes i had green/red vertical line appear on the left hand side which was only 1mm thick but since i had Apple Care i thought i might as well get it looked at. Anyways all i can say is thank god for Apple Care, otherwise it would have cost me £485.30 for the new screen. I also have to say Apple do a fantastic job i gave it in yesterday at 1pm and it was ready to collect at 6pm. They also changed the whole inside bit (the bit around the keyboard) for me. Apart from the bottom it now looks good as new.

RIGHT!!

Couple of questions to begin, Installed Leopard on my G4 iBook, I now Only have 10GB of space left out of 30GB, do I need to do a fresh install and format the HD first or is it normal for Leopard to take up 15-20GB? (sorted)

Next I have set up my mobileme account and also a .mac, I have set up the @mac.com address on my bb sucessfully yet when I send an email to @mac.com It comes back as an invalid address, yet when I send to @me.com it comes through to the @mac.com account, can anyone shed any light on this??

Also I am quite tempted to hand over £59 of my hard earned for the mobileme sync and 20GB of online storage, does anybody else use this or am I completely out of my tree for even considering it?

One last thing Disc space, should I buy a larger internal HD or buy me a nice LaCie 320gb FW rugged ext HD??? (sorted! got one of these! )

And I wanna upgrade the ram, Crucial want £49 for 1GB anywhere Cheaper??

Ok so I am in a really confused. I have two choices.
My first one is:
Apple MacBook white/black(the color doesn't really matters to me)
2.4 GHz Intel core 2 duo
2 GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
250 GB hdd serial ATA 5400 rpm
8x SuperDrive
Intel GMA X3100 graphical processor with 144MB DDR2 SDRAM shared
InBuilt 10/100/1000BASE-T(gigabit) ethernet
InBuilt AirPort extreme Wi-Fi
InBuilt bluetooth
This lappy will cost me 1000 euros

My second choice is:
iPentium Q6600 CORE2QUAD at 2.4GHz
EN9600GT/DVI-HDMI/ 1GB DDR3
P5QL PRO
4GB RAM DDR2
500GB HDD 7200 rpm SEAGATE
CM mystique 632
Asus DVD-RW black
CM extreme power 390W
This will cost me about 700 euros.

Please anyone help me.
And just for information i don't intend to play games (maybe counter attack and NFS), and what do You think of the macintosh.
Thanks everyone

@ nanu..............i got an ibook g4 last week (1.3ghz,512mb ram,40gb hd,combo-drive,12"screen) and 1st thing i did was fit another 512mb of ram in it, got it off ebay for £15 new, delivered, took 10 mins to fit and defo makes a difference. trawl ebay for "ibook ram" there are a few sellers

I also need a bigger HD tho, this one came with a 40gb and running latest os with a few installs leaves me with just over 16gb free

Ah OK! Mine only has 256mb built in! But £38 for a 1GB is the cheapest I can find so I'll keep my eye on that!

I'm finding it fine with just 512mb at the mo, but I haven't put it to work yet!
