@tahir.
According to you , vodacom is the best but why is it then that my problem with gprs only got fixed on wednesday, after having problems for weeks. Well now its fixed but i hardly ever get speeds higher than 10kbs, while on MTN i get average speed of 30kbs. And for the last month i been using MTN i never had a single connection problem.
MTN may have problems while setting up, but at least i get what i pay for.

@Rick: If anyone came at me saying if I didn't use a particular 3G I would be doomed, I'll tell him to f-off... Tahir has been quite provocative at times, I understand he owns a Vodacom shop and wants people 2 use this network but sometimes he's been a bit economical with the truth...for instance the limitations placed on branded handsets by the network in order for them 2 increase their revenue which would be fair if people knew about this.
And yes I use Vodacom.

Welcome... Right now we're discussing anything worth talking about. It would be good to read up on earlier posts to get an idea of this thread and it's regular posters. BB=Blackberry.

yep I know what BB is. just asked if it was the topic. well vodacom is really investing into their 3G network. today I started to get a really good signal in Grabouw. Grabouw is "Apple country". Its just up the mountain from Somerset West if you know what I'm talkign about. Do you maybe know if today's 3G(I got a SE V800) mobile support 3.5G thats coming at the end of the year.

I don't think current models support HSDPA. Did you get a 3G signal in Grabouw? I know they've got excellent coverage but it would be amazing if they've got a 3G in such a small town.

None of the major companies support 3.5G . I now of only one small venture who have build a few handsets for the eastern markets and trials :-( I espect Nokia to announce at list 1 handset sometimes next year.On the other hand I guess the WIMAX format will be with us in 18moths or so :-) Should that be the case who cares about 3.5 G ? Ipv6 combined with voip+video (fully supported by ipv6 ! ) and one could make a video call from a enabled handset within 50KM of your home pc (connected to internet thru ADSL).Who needs vodacom or mtn or cell c ?

They will find ways to overcome that. Vodafone isn't stupid. Everything is planned from the beginning.
