All these "Where's this new firmware release" posts in this thread are pointless, don't you get that? R1L002 works fine and a new firmware will be released when it's released - not earlier, not later! There's nothing with R1L002 to panic about... and all those of you who scream for a new firmware will be dissapointed anyway, because you always expect a "revolution" but get some minor bug fixes!

Please stop posting pointless messages like "I want a new firmware, bla bla bla" in this great thread!

Hi CyberVisitor,

In reply to your post, I just thought I would inject a light hearted comment about a new firmware release that I and many, many other people, who are more than dissatisfied with the current firmware, have been both eagerly and patiently waiting for.

My apologies if my post offended you or annoyed you to such an extent that you felt the need to post a comment of your own.

If you read some of my previous posts, you will see exactly what I think about how badly Sony Ericcson have handled this whole issue and whilst you may be content with the present firmware, a hell of a lot of us aren't and it is a big deal to us. I enjoy reading and posting on this forum, but I think it's pretty poor if someone is not able to air their opinions or thoughts openly, without someone else seeing a post as trivial, (even though it may well be to them) and passing a derogatory comment of even less value or interest to those reading this thread.

I am having problems with R1L002 on W800i (i'm guessing we're just using this thread for the firmware on the W800i?).

Its T-mobile branded (EU_2, i think), and every time I make a phone call, the phone says "invalid sim" and then restarts itself.

It does this task on its own sometimes too.

There is a also a problem with editing contacts phone numbers from sms messages (the 'detail' method).

So, i'm looking forward to the new firmware.

Just a short note to the person having problems updating the k750i at the part where you have to press "c", I too had this problem and how i overcame it was by downloading the Update USB drivers off the site and saving and extracting them to the Sony Ericsson folder, and to make sure, also copy it to the Update folder part of the Sony Ericsson folder too as i am not sure which way i made mine work. Hope this helps.. i might just have been lucky though, after getting frustrated over searching sites and contacting sony.

Thanks to everyone who's offered help...I phoned up the SE helpline today and they have no idea why I have the problem. But I remembered about something when I first got the phone. I had major issues charging it initially, then I thought about taking out the memory card that came bundled with the phone....and it charged up!

So i've took the memory card out of my phone (remember - it hasn't been updated) and no crashes yet. So has anyone else had problems with memory cards?
