Anyone caught a glimpse of the new Moto Z12? UIQ, 5mp camera and touch controls. Been reading about it on some gadget blogs but thus far no sighting.

Yeah, I saw an article on the Oz gizmodo site and a link somewhere on esato today.
I really hope it materialises; it would be a huge leap forward for them and I actually hope they pull it off. Despite the current financial clouds looming...

Me thinks the same way.i have one ball in the Finnish Queens mouth and the other ball in the Queen of UIQ.lol Windows Mobile, nah, when I played around on a phone (cant remember the brand) running WM5 I didnt fancy the experience very much.GO Motorola! Its quite funny how you slag them off but as soon as you are aware that they are in trouble you cheer them on.I would prefer Samsung to be the one drowning.

@HOBBS: I'd also prefer that it was Samsung drowning but that is unlikely to happen. Like Blokia they've got a gazillion models out and I can't tell one from the other.
@amawanqa: Have you seen those new mock-ups on the Giz of SE's new phones expected to be announced next week 3GSM in Barcelona. They seem too good to be true- with a week to go at least they should've had spyshots.

@ brixster,
Hmm, no I haven't seen those. I'm curious now; will have to check them out.
@ Hobbster,
LOL, it's a 2-edged sword with Moto. IMHO they deserve to be slated for an outdated, crappy UI and dithering with specs advances, but as we've mentioned before, less competition is never a good thing.
BTW, Wynona's Big Brown Beaver... Managed to download it (the song by Primus

) of mp3fiesta last night. Having such a jol rediscovering some obscure ol' alternative classics.
Now for the hillbilly-esque Violent Femmes, LOL.

Everyone on MTN pay-as-you-go just punch in *135# to get more information about the MTN Zone call discounts:-) I had mistakenly thought the special was over but according to a press release MTN only properly launched it this week.
It doesnt sound like a promotion to me, it sounds more like a fourth paying plan to be added to the per second/ normal pay g/ payback plan.

Or another plan is to get the K850i as my second phone giving me the better camera and HSDPA.A non smartphone could be a nice change.Still a bit of time to ponder these things.

But if you're on PAYG it comes as your default plan.

I think the normal pay-g plan is the default, you need to migrate to the MTN Zone plan by dialing *141*4*2#
Thats according to this article on my broadband.
http://mybroadband.co.za/news/Cellular/2792.html
Migrating to MTN Zone
To enjoy the benefits of MTN Zone, MTN prepaid customers need to migrate from their existing prepaid price plan to MTN Zone by following a few easy migration steps. Users can dial 141 on their phone and select the MTN Zone option or simply key in *141*4*2#.
Once migrated to MTN Zone, the customer needs to set up the cell broadcast function on their handset. Customers are then informed of the percentage discount applicable in a particular cell location as they move through it. The discount is based on the demand in that location at the time.
The discount remains constant for the duration of the call, even if the call cuts across the hour or moves between cells. Billing is done at per second rates and the customer remains in control of what they spend on their discounted calls. If a customer is unclear about their applicable discount, help is just a call away by dialing *135# or the 173 call centre at any time.
I think the same migrating rules apply than those applied to changing from per second, payback etc
