Basically a lot of disappointment.
People know that there's no full alternative to UiQ concept and I'm also seeing it as a loss.
But on the realistic and non-pessimistic note, we have 2 choices regarding SE:
1. Wait 2 months and buy X1
2. Wait over a year for a symbian foundation devices
Or - forget about SE.

P series is not dead. Thats the end of that.
X1i/htc touch pro seems to be the best smartphones of this year.
There's nothing else on the market(which i think) competes with them. Ofcourse, omnia has 624mhz processor, x1i and touch pro have 2wice the ram omnia has.
On the other hand, the processor of n96 seems to be a downgrade from n95-8gb, i.e. - 269mhz from 333(i think)mhz

A BIG YES!! Maybe I got used without a dpad with p990i and P1i for a long time. But one day I happend to hold a very basic nokia phone (with dpad) Immediately i realized how much i really missed it in Pseries! phones without dpad are crippled.

This isn't it. Many have said there will be more announcements.
2008 is not over fellas. Maybe, just maybe.. they will announce something and release it within a month in time for the holidays and until then it is kept under lock and key. who knows. Just have to wait and see.
I would love to try the X1... too bad there's no word (from what i've heard) of a US carrier picking it up... just a lot of HTCs.. even freakin bestbuy is gonna carry an unlocked diamond!

Realistically I'm giving up on SE until 2010, if they can survive and manage to design a good device with a difference like the P900 was, then I'm willing to give SE another chance. But there is no way I'm getting an X1, not until SE proves that they can handle WM. Since it is unlikely SE will come up with a final killer UIQ device, looks like I'll be spending the next 2 years with my P1 and an HTC Touch Pro.
I'm sick and tired of waiting and wishing for fixes and upgrades from SE that either are too late or most likely don't come at all. HTC on the other hand is giving WM 6.1 to Tytn II which isn't even their newest device.
It would make a great case study, how a big company managed to scrap a good product and hurt itself in the process.
