As I stated over a year ago. SE needs to hire a super programmer, who knows how to write firmware and knows what the hell he is doing, so we don't have to wait that long for a product and when it is out, then it does not crash all the time.

Since the UK networks (and prolly international ones too) tend to brand the P990 with different software etc... would that make the release on NETWORK specific prices slightly later than just the standard sim free option? or do we tend to see release of sim free and network only models at the same sorta time??

Actually, Operators get the phone's pre-release and can put their own software on them. Generally in the UK, they come out around the same time. BUT, i think p990i's will be available elsewhere sim-free first, thus, we will see them first.
In the shops though, i reckon timing is simultaneous. Daz.

Play.com is the best price I have seen, and the Expansys price is their typical stab in the dark preorder pricing which will no doubt drop quicker than a working girl's underwear when the device is launched.
Pixmania and some french and german stores have really good prices...anyone that is able to buy goods from Pixmania-pro (donīt pay VAT) will be able to pay less than 700 euros for it...i actually will be able to do that

Ahh ok. Sorry - was thinking of just UK sites.
Had seen a Pixmania-Pro price (was on their Spanish site I think) the other week, but they don't even list the P990 on their UK site.
