To use exchange you need a BES server and BES account.

BES server you normally get from your service provider if you sign upto several BES accounts. BES accounts are approx £30 a month on top of your phone tariff

My September bill was only £35-92 so I have better think about that !
I can always setup a rule and send my Exchange email on to my GMail account.

Whats the added advantage and functionality of that then?, sounds a bit steep for a tight fisted northener IMO
