Im not sure if anyone can confirm the correct date

Expansys UK have a date in April... if this is for real... then are in serious trouble...

Cheers

So 6 months... That's more than Satio's release period ( May - October - 5 months ).

IMHO Wait for a new SE Android smartphone(hopefully with no delays till summer) ... don't become testers of another sonyericsson's outdated first attempt. Otherwise go for Nexus one.

I said goodbye to this device since i heard about the x2 releasing date about a month ago..

When last was that page updated? There are so many errors that I highly doubt it is the correct date in there.

But then again, SE is excellent in delays...

As mentioned before, its not SE thats delayed, its QUALCOMM that cant deliver the platform in time!
SE side is almost ready with the software, so qualcomm is a big backstab...

And to the guy asking if the green android guy shows up if somebody you dont have contactpic, calls. The answer is now:) It shows a timescape blue pic, with the number:)

THAT is entirely down to disappointing its loyal customer base time after time after time. as of this minute the Nexus looks a far better bet than the X10 for me.

but.. the nexus one is ugly (to me)... In term of design, X10 wins hands down.

Ever occurred to some of you that the launch date of the X10 may be revised purely due to marketing reasons, i.e. to not let it get lost in the sea of hype that follows the Nexus One?

Jeez, at the first sight of blood, the sharks come out. Talking logic here is an exercise in futility.

Yes.

Or maybe they've decided that the X10's launch was likely to get lost in all the Nexus One's hooplah anyway? Do they release now and try to shout louder than Google, or leave that to settle down and release in March when the X10 is even more out of date? An unenviable choice.

SE wouldn't be in this position if they hadn't mismanaged their own R&D from the start.

Have SE actually confirmed a specific release date in Q1? If they haven't then how can it be delayed.

In November there was a date available...

Thanks for clearing that up. So the Expected release date was 10th Feb and its now been put back six weeks or so. Thats fine. So with an update to 2.0 it'll have up to date software but anyway, I guess the majority of people are more interested in what the phone can do rather than what version software it is running.

So the delay seems to rest with Qualcomm not clearing the platform? That sounds serious to me. Why might they not be able to clear it?

All the latest video demonstrations we have seen so far show the software performing well.

After having Satio for a while I'm looking forward to trying out the X10. I think it's an amazing device.

@Prom1 Yeah, I'm feeling the joy. An device released on both sides of the Atlantic at the same time for once. That's got to be a first.
