Considering the price of a meal here in chennai combined with the traffic and cost of petrol and room rent, i dont think that the probability of my getting a gprs connection are very high

And please stop cribbing about the
dongle.. I dare say if Mrao is right ! A BT dongle is a BT dongle (hopfuly yours is atleast Ver1.1?)
Use the thing w/out installing the PC Suite (whether SE or Nokia) and let the Blues.. S/w work.. I have been amply transfering my files & sync contacts too , with just the s/w that came with the dongle (its a higher ver. though)
She HAS used the T- whatever, so should be comfy with SE
However am open to "other" options.. based on functionality.
