Also, the problem with SE is not because their high end devices don't instill a desirability factor for low end consumers, but because their low end portfolio os practically non existent. Like Xell said, it's a catch 22 for them because they built their name as innovators and going after the plain jane market wouldn't really help their case.
The logical solution for SE is to forget marketshare and number of units sold and focus more on profitability. Not the best case scenario for the consumer, but it's the right one to get a company into a healthy shape.
