Can someone translate for us that link cause I really would like to know what exactly the delay about Qualcomm is?

I prefer the full information that a one line explanation.

but.. the nexus one is ugly (to me)... In term of design, X10 wins hands down.

I find the Nexus much more pleasing to the eye than the X10 (at least in picture form) but that just shows how personal taste is different.

@Nitro Fan

Judging by the last statement in your signature I wouldn't have guessed that you like the Nexus One.

As mentioned before, its not SE thats delayed, its QUALCOMM that cant deliver the platform in time!
SE side is almost ready with the software, so qualcomm is a big backstab...

And to the guy asking if the green android guy shows up if somebody you dont have contactpic, calls. The answer is now:) It shows a timescape blue pic, with the number:)

Info taken from minhembio (swedish):

Perhaps Qualcomm decided that Google had a better chance of actually selling their product than Sony Ericsson? there do not seem to be any shortages of the snapdragon platform delaying the Nexus One.

My view is that have screwed up the SW development meaning they will yet again, be late to market with an out of date product, honestly it makes me want to weep. I remember the halcyon days of the T68 and the P800, man I was proud of my Ericsson and my then.
The real issue here is the fact that others are already out there with Android 2.1 devices whilst are still messing about with timescape & mediascape both of which run like three legged dogs on v1.5!

Hi Dups!
I have been a big fan for many years but they are no longer leading edge I had pretty much made my mind up that if the X10 was any good I would come back to the fold, but the Nexus is just so nice, and it runs unadulterated fast Android 2.1! I cant see any point in hanging around for the X10.

Same with me. I love SE's feature phones and prefer their designs over other crap but I just can't hang in any longer for X10. Nothing is clear about when it will hit the stores and eve when it hits it will be having a laughable older version of OS.

So, ordered Nexus yesterday with a T-mobile contract.

I've been using a lot of SE mobile phones and smartphones and I don't have any software problems with them except P990. I think the one and only failure product of SE is P990.

SE phones that I've been using : T300, P800, Z550, S500, P910, P990, C905 and X1. I don't think SE has a problem with the SW developement.

Trust me I understand your frustrations/disappointments and even your anger.

I am up for an upgrade tomorrow and no SE interests me, in fact, I am going to get a Blackberry. It would've been an SE had they known what they were doing these days.

Ever occurred to some of you that the launch date of the X10 may be revised purely due to marketing reasons, i.e. to not let it get lost in the sea of hype that follows the Nexus One?

Yes.

Or maybe they've decided that the X10's launch was likely to get lost in all the Nexus One's hooplah anyway? Do they release now and try to shout louder than Google, or leave that to settle down and release in March when the X10 is even more out of date? An unenviable choice.

SE wouldn't be in this position if they hadn't mismanaged their own R&D from the start.

I'm sorry, I missed the memo confirming that the X10 won't get software upgrades while the Nexus One magically gets a camera and display upgrade to one-up the former.
