The handbook says that holding down on the 'back' button, whilst in an application, will close it.

Having tried this and then viewing the 'Task Manager' I see that the application is still open - shown under the 'Open' tab!!

Anyone else get this or am I doing something wrong?

@bulti48

have not read the manual, but i asume it works like with everything else in the phone, if you open it and use back it's still running in the background for faster acces the next time you open/use it.

you will have to use the games/apps exit funktion to turn it of or use the taskmanager.

there is a program called Swiss Manager that ends your open apps after a certen time that you choose to save ram and such. there is a thread about it under the software forum.

I take it there is no way to have the large clock on the standby screen a la DB2020/A200 phones? Dunno why but I really like that feature!

Loving this phone though, battery life is so good compared to the K850i (although I imagine SE will fix the K850i battery life bug in the new firmware) but at least for now I have a phone that doesn't use %25 in 6 hours whilst idle!

You can get a large clock by changing the Standby Application to 'None'.
Go to Tools > Control Panel > Device > Standby Application

@zkw1

That is quite similar to the large clock on the other SE phones, but I lose access to those menu buttons (I really like the quick menu one where you can customise the bottom buttons). Thanks though, at least I now know where to find the option should I want that clock.

Maybe I'll do what ares suggested and look for a standby clock application that will give me the clock and the buttons.
