Woah there are many recent phone releases in Japan that Ive never even heard of, notably the Bravia phone. Maybe SE have been working on so man Japan-only releases that their output to other markets has been reduced somewhat. Never mind though, im sure they will make up for it with their next few releases, particularly if the P5i is among them!

Thats pretty old news, and I think that there is no connection between SE-japan and wide-world-SE.. (japan SE phones is made in japan by sony(?) )

I may be totally wrong but this is my thoughts..

No logic, but they are developed in japan and they may go directly to sony to get help ad suggestions during development of a phone..
