Yeah thats what i'm hearing that Apple tend to deal with it in a more efficient manner! Perhaps maybe kicking off and refusing to leave the shop until i have a brand new iPhone in my hands might work? Failing that, perhaps crying? Stamping my feet?

Trouble is, nearest Apple Store is in Bluewater which is a bit of a drive (for my g/f, i dont drive ) and thats not gonna happen this weekend.

Some guy i just spoke to said that he had the same problem, took it in to CPW and they sent it away for repair and it took 3 weeks - and in the end they just gave him a new one anyway Like they'd be able to palm you off with a repaired cracked iPhone They also gave him some naff Nokia loaner phone in the interim... pfff... They're gonna love me in the O2 shop tomorrow

O2 staff are bound to just follow the same old rigmarole they've been trained in and make the whole thing as unpleasant and inconvenient as they possibly can. I'd be much more tempted to just put up with it for now, pop it into the Apple store when you can, and with a bit of luck they'll just swap it over the counter for you while you wait. They've got the stock and the returns system right there, and generally have a much more enlightened approach to problems like this.

Yeah cheers @Boinng. You're right. Thing is, now i know it's there, it's playing on my mind. That...and the prospect of getting a shiny new one!

Certainly dont want to be messed around by O2, but I may just duck in there tomorrow and see what they say.

iPhone users to get Skype service (BBC article)

Skype has confirmed that iPhone users will be now be able to use its internet telephony service.

The firm's native voice over internet protocol (VoIP) application - Skype for iPhone - will be available for download from Apples iTune store on Tuesday.

yep, Skype its out...pretty cool app, but i donīt know how to justify using it instead of nimbuzz that does all the skype stuff plus, msn, gtalk, etc

maybe when thereīs push notifications it will be more usefull, has a voice only app

saw that MyRail wasnt working this morning so i read up on the web and see that National Rail refused to renew their license to retrieve train data just so that they can release their own version and charge us Ģ5 for it!!!!!

yeah, I saw that this morning too, but I already bought the national rail one a few days ago and was using both

what I would really like is a merge of functionality between the two but I guess we're stuck with just the one now
