@doministry: You dont have to reencode most of the videos, thanks to an app called RockPlayer, it plays .mp4, .mkv, .avi, .mpg and .wmv files with no problems...

In my X10, the only videos that lag using Rockplayer are HD Videos, especially .MKV's....

This was the main reason i bought my X10, since I wanted to watch videos directly, without having to reencode them.

Hope it helps...

If HD lags then what is the point? ^^
Hopefully the new API's in 2.3 can help getting better videoplayers

Gum Mobile are now showing as in stock for both the Xperia Arc & Xperia Play so I think it's safe to assume most UK online retailers will start posting out today.

Same with Carphone, they are expecting stock today. Who knows I may get the Arc by the weekend.

However the Reality screen does have a problem with its viewing angles. The advantage it holds against competition when looked from the best possible angle quickly disappears as you go wider. The writings of the screen might remain visible but contrast degrades very quickly and colors get vastly distorted. It’s an unpleasant effect that you cannot see with the IPS matrix of the iPhone 4 or the two current best AMOLED technologies (ClearBlack and SuperAMOLED)
.....source HERE

is that true and will it bothers for daily use.....thinking of getting one

How often are you honestly going to be looking at your phone at extreme angles or any angle for that matter.
