True it would be strange if the messenger was Arabic but the Quran was written in German. But it still doesn’t answer why god (any god) didn’t at the same time spread his word throughout the entire world. And if he did decide to chose one part of the world I would of thought Africa to be the right place (as that’s where apparently where all descended from).
I’m sorry if you Muslims guy’s are getting annoyed by my constant questioning but most of the question I ask can be said for most religions, I only direct them at you because this thread is imo very Muslim populated and I think I’ll get answers (well most) from you guys. Also imo Muslims and Christians are the two main religions most talk about and are followed by dedicated follows who will try there hardest to prove there religion right (and dismiss any other religions with out doubt).

No need to apologise Joe for the questioning, you have a right to ask questions as we would do for other religions. The answer to your question Joe is that the bottom line is that our Creator Almighty Allah has sent down many religious scriptures to different messengers and the final revelation is The Quran. Each book revealed to each messenger was in their own land but as we see today it spreads all over the globe by the grace of Almighty Allah.
It is the duty of every human to find out what the truth is, this is why i always thank Allah for giving me Islam from birth. I am very lucky and i totally appreciate what i have.
Verse 41 from Chapter 35 states:
It is Allah Who sustains the heavens and the earth, lest they cease to function: and if they should fail, there is none - not one - can sustain them thereafter: Verily He is Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving.
He is often forgiving and most merciful. He will forgive whom he wishes, he is the greatest and full of wisdom.

A very small part of the world's population was Jewish and Judaism was very much centred in the Middle East and North Africa at that time. What about the millions of other people around the world? What about the people who had no viable way of learning of either Judaism, Christianity or Islam until well after each had been founded e.g. native Americans, Aboriginies, Pacific Islanders, etc?
Are such people condemned because they could not follow a certain religion through no fault of their own? Is there special provision for them?

In Islam, those who died before Islam will go to heaven if they followed God's religion to the best of their extent and at the time Islam didn't exist.
And before that, those people would go to heaven.
(kind of makes you wonder "why didn't God just not say anything and let everyone go to heaven?") Well someone could easily ask why not?

@amnesia
Forgive the frankness of this comment, but that does seme somewhat odd. Basically what you are syaing is that anyone living before Islam is given a place in Heaven even though they did not have to 'work for it' in the same way as those who lived after Islam as founded did and do?
In essence the millions (perhaps even billions) of people who have lived in the (approximately) 200,000 years, since homo sapiens came into being, before Islam was founded are all allowed to go to Heaven without having to have abided by the rules of Islam as Muslims do today? Why the change then? The world has faced the same basic problems throughout human history so why the need to give the Quran to the Prophet at that time?
As an aside, would Islam (or any of the other Judeo-Christian religions) include other species of human being in their ethos of being saved?

God cannot punish people for not believing in a religion that didn't exist before they died.
(well he can, but I wouldn't imagine God would do such a thing, he's all forgiving)
