I'm back! And reading what was said above while I was away I remembered to tell you guys a couple of things:

My girlfriend texted me (she is in Whangarei at the moment) to say that in the latest MyMobile there is a Telecom Sony Ericsson phone which she said is "like your old phone" (meaning my W910i), so I think that she probably means the W760i will be on Telecom's new network, much like Telstra has it in Australia. Couldn't spot it on either Telecom's or MyMobile's website though.

Also, a few weeks ago there was a funny mistake in the Telecom mailout. They had an image of a girl talking on her phone on the front cover which was obviously just a stock photo they had purchased and used. But if you looked closer you would have seen it was a brown SE K770i that she was using, which is completely stupid on their part!

Well, I'm back online with a new laptop and 3GB per month of (potentially) 7.2Mbps Vodafone Mobile Data! Phew! Being unplugged is stressful.

My new laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-CS13G/Q with a 2.1Ghz Pentium Dual Core Processor, 1GB Ram (soon to be upgraded) 250GB HDD and 14.1" Widescreen. OS is the dreaded Vista, but the Home Premium version makes things a little nicer. And the best part, inbuilt BT V2.1 + EDR!

Sony haven't given me anything. I'm supposed to create my own OS backup discs...

Maybe later. Still trying out Vista ATM.

@Muhammad Oli
Can I get all my music, videos and apps on my iPhone synced back onto my Vaio or do I have to find some way of recovering them from my old 40GB HDD?

As far as I know you can't take stuff off an iPod/iPhone using iTunes. iTunes is crap like that. There might be some third party software you could try, but I think it's far more likely you'll have to retrieve it from your old hard drive somehow.

Anyway it's nice to hear you're up and running with a new internet plan and laptop.
