I just thought that (assuming both Japanese and international handsets are designed and made by the same SE body) alot of focus seems to have been on the japanese market, so maybe something new will be brought by SE very soon
. Anyway, enough about that, fingers crossed for an all important announcement today

No logic, but they are developed in japan and they may go directly to sony to get help ad suggestions during development of a phone..

is a separate company, it is not a branch of Sony.
There is no development whatsoever made over at Sony during _any_ stage.
(If I come out rude it's not my point to be, just trying to make it as clear as I can)

but for sure japanese SE phones are closer in look/idea/functionality to japanese market.
Which is amazing. Just before my Pseries choice, I was a user of Mitsubishi phones until they escaped from european market.
On japanese market they still make high-end/multimedia phones, actually - on UiQ!!!!!! It was a big surprise to me.
They make many gr8 devices fot NTTDoCoMo.
Anyway, Pnext won't be so soon as we want I think. I just wonder it would be more "lekeage" around if it would happen soon.

I wouldn't second that at all. The S700 is fully developed by Sony
and not SE!
BTW: Sony Ericsson has R&D headquarters in Japan, China, Great Britain, Sweden and the USA
Especially the software development takes place in Kista (Sweden)

So the week before CES, Dec 31. I don't think they would announce it, New Years Eve, maybe. The day before CES is Jan 6, which is Sunday.
