Which msn client is everybody using? I read about fring but i am not that fond of it. On my old p800 i had apps that looked quite a lot like msn. Are there more options than just fring?

I use IM+. Its not free but I am sure if you Google a bit you'll find a way of getting it.

@bahraini
the w960i does not feature, "shake-control"
if you mean autorotate by just "rotate" the phone nocan do due to no "shake-control" but you can rotate pictures and videos just by using the "extend" mode aka full screen/landscape mode.

Why don't you give LCG Slick? It's still in its alpha stage. As of now, it's free. But that might change in the future. I used to use Agile Messenger but now I prefer Slick more.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

to get IMEI you need to go to the service menu. use the jog wheel for up and down - up * down down * down *. Then go to service information/hardware information and there is your IMEI number.
another way is to take the back and battery off your phone and look under the 2nd barcode. that number is your IMEI number.
im afraid w960i does NOT have motion sensor so cannot autorotate/shake control. i was realy disapointed when i found this out too because i thorght the same!

if you got the the sony ericsson site and look at the w960i specs there is no motion sensor (i swear there used to be before it was released but maybe im wrong!)

just a tip to anyone who has the w960i or another similar phone:
GET GDESK!
takes a while to set it up but once you have navigation throught the phone is soooo much nicer. you can make your own homescreen and place shortcuts and links to other pages etc. i was realy disapointed with the navigation on this phone when i first got it but now im a lot happier!
still not as good as i was expecting though
anyone looking for free games and apps go to ipmart-forum.com and go to the UIQ section and they have EVERYTHING
i've had a problem with my phone since i got it: approx every 1-2 days my phone randomly crashs. im not doing anything on it and it dosnt matter what i have open at the time. the phone just goes completly dead, everything freezes and no button-even power button -works. the only way to fix it is to remove the battery. this is getting REALY anoying especialy when it freezes during the night and i miss my alarm!
has anyone else had any experiances like this? and more importantly does anyone know a solution like a firmware update or somthing? (anyone who was wondering it has occured when i was not running GDesk too) atm my only choise seems to be to send back my phone but i dont want to loose my phone for 5 days!!
batterylife when im using the phone seems pretty good but when it crashes 50% of my battery goes missing! i don't know whether its because the battery life is poor and my battery meter is just glitchy or if when my phone crashes it zaps my battery?! lol can people tell me how long their batteries last just so i know. Thanks!

@NikG
I have had the phone for just under a week now and i have not had a single crash on it. i don't know if yours is branded but mine is unbranded with about 2 gig of music on it and the only application i have installed is IM+.
Yours is either crashing because of an installed application or there is something wrong with the phone's hardware or software.
I am actaully typing this post from my W960, I love this phone!

lol thanks for the reply!
i have just wiped the phone clean and updated it (evn tho it was already up to date) so if its not fixed now i will have to send it off
my phone is o2 branded and has 7GB of music on it (maybe that could be it..?)
its a realy nice phone but atm mine is too buggy

if they fixed all the problems THEN it would be amazing! they should realy try do do somthing about the navigation tho because there are too many submenus when trying to find things. soo glad i found GDesk

lol i sound like im trying to sell it!

I am wondering if gdesk could be the problem? Being a heavy Windows Mobile user I have found that people usually run into problems when using third party application launchers.
I am sure the 7GB of music wouldn't be an issue, as SE must have filled the device with music in the testing process (although I know some people feel SE's QA of late is lacking).
Other than that I don't know what to suggest, like I say I have not had a single problem with mine.
