who knows, after few decent updates (just like the k750i), the k850i will become another legendary SE fone, we'll just wait n see

It won't I'm afraid, at least certainly not for me - I have owned the phone for four months and am still disappointed and hanging on for FW updates to make it work properly. Bearing in mind 4 months is 1/3 of my expected lifespan for any phone, that's not good enough.

question:

with the newest update, does K850 print the date and time on the bottom of the picture like K750? I also heard that something called exif (don't know what that is) is removed from K850. is it back on the phone yet with the newest update?

my reason for asking: I grouped my pictures based on date and phone name (I previously had K700, currently own K750, and looking to get K850, my husband had more). so I want to be able to know which pictures are taken with what and when.

please let me know. thanks!

New to these forums.... been reading this thread on the firmware for 4 moths now... and would like to say thanks to everyone for providing information on bugs / firmware release dates and helpful hints.

I would just like to know if these are possible bugs: (R1DA038) (02 Branded)

1) In the main menu of the media application ( where it lists "pictures" , "Music" etc.) you can "kill" the glowing orbs in the background by pressing the "c" key on the keypad.

2) When playing music in the media application, and minimize the application with the music still playing in the background, if you view your IMEI number then the media will crash and music will stop playing.

BTW: Oh... I'd also like to know how to get my K850i as a Pic under my name on these forums posts

from what i understand i dont think there is an 038 software anymore. right guys?

From what we are getting now, I doubt it. Perhaps it's only an operator-based release, because our generic handsets haven't seen an update at all yet.

We'll probably be receiving the large update due February.

@ bulukaki, date isn not printed on the photo and exif data is included in the photo. Right click some photo you have and then go to Details. All the exif data is listed there.

@ shawon 1. it only resets the animation.

Had my K850 for a while now. Was bought with 037 firmware already installed.
Have had the lens shutter stick on me today. Only thing thats happened so far. A quick shutdown and powerup and was all sorted.

I'd originally opted for a P1i last year for my upgrade as I didnt like the feel of the K850. But now I have had a chance to mess with one. I'm liking it

Personally I'm quite happy with the 037 firmware. Seems ok to me so far.

Does anyone know if these are known bugs / or bugs at all?

Or is it just my phone and need to have it replaced?
