@Shotokan81 Would be cool, maybe if you got some skills or a friend with some skills you could 3D print something.

Lol, that's OK, i am not an electronic maker

Anyway, now that Sony started, Samsung may end up doing it...

Yup but anyway samsung will fail because they can't make a decent camera using their own sensor

Oh, i just understand what you meant Ricky...
One can actually 3d print a dslr shape, there is no need for electronic parts, and very limited mechanical parts, only the shutter needs to somehow push the real shutter on Honami!

Maybe some guys will be able to do this on the forum?
Then you can actually make it fit your own very hand!
This is a great idea, i did not think about it, and leave you the paternity!!

To clarify what i meant, i mean a real electronic component, that would supply the phone with extra battery, sport a xenon flash, have a hole for a tripod. Connects to honami via nfc and has some dial controls along the shutter.

That would be crazy, and i hope sony thinks about it!

Edit: djin, our thinking is quite close. I wonder what sony is preparing, but it is reasonable to think some accessories will be available along the lens! We will see, but it gets intriguing!

In the first place, Honami is meant to compete with the likes of S4 and G2, not the 1020 or 808.

In terms of camera quality, if Z1 gets close to or on par with 1020, then it's a shame for Nokia. Everything else, Z1 wins.

@djin I'm considering buying QX100. I probably would never use it but it would be seriously cool and much easier than carrying my DSLR.

@shotokan yeah, I meant 3D print a mount for this accessory in the shape of a DSLR body, with a little bit of basic wiring you could stack a few spare batteries in a cavity behind the grip and wire them to the charging port. This way you get the extra power too. In terms of the shutter release, a simple lever action would work or just make a cut out over the handset shutter release, else use the on-screen button with your thumb.

Holy smoke, Sony keeps on blowing me away this year. I know my next tv has to be a Sony triluminos tv.
