What do I need to be able to stream music from my pc to my hbh-ds970?
I have a usb bluetooth adapter from ST Labs.

:edit:
Is my post looking peculiar?

Hi all,
OK i don't get why would the volume on the P990 be any different to the M600 as unless i want my ears to start bleeding 75% volume is loud enough for me. Now that some one has mentioned it why does the control dongle twist to the right its really weird and very annoying IMO.

Marc

PS whats going on with this thread wierd layout or what?

sorry, if this question may seem stupid, but after almost buying an unoriginal memory stick, I've become paranoid and very careful.

I'm thinking of buying hbh-ds970 and found some very cheap on ebay (from hong kong), but I don't know whether there's a catch. can these headsets be fake in any way? would it be recommended to buy them on ebay?

thank you!

@jabe,
E-Bay is acquiring a new nickname of Fake bay even from power sellers. General rule is you can save money but if its too good to be true then its dodgy IMO.

how do you update the FW of the headset? is it a good buy compared to the bluetooth headset from Motorola or Jabra? (the behind the neck ones)

if it was only capable of connecting any 3.5mm ear/headpones i would have no more second thoughts

At the risk of this message being squeezed into ever decreasing pagewidth...

From what I've read here, would I be correct in assuming that this £70 piece of technology can be rendered useless by:

1. Pulling a wire to the earpiece a bit too hard
2. A stray bit of earwax clogging the drivers

so that a complete new lot of £70 would need to be spent in order to recover them?

Also, in order to use the FM radio I still have to keep a headset attached, even when using the BT headset. Finally, the bluetooth will need to be transmitting on the phone, putting extra drain on the battery.

This has possibly all been answered here but I can't work out the difference between pre-release speculation and actual experience. The one thing that might put me off is this all-eggs-in-one-basket issue and I just wanted to be certain.

One observation - Bluetooth is supposed to be wireless but this thing seems to be encumbered with many!

@Buttoneer

Your first point re pulling the wire too hard applies to all headsets bluetooth or not.

The ear wax issue i couldn't possibly comment on as this is to do with the individuals personal hygiene but again should cause no problem.

Yes it is wireless no connection between them and the phone but as it needs a battery for power and some controls to start end and advance tracks plus the ability to see who is calling and answer, end or make calls, all without touching the phone IMO it is far easier to see tracks or who's calling then with a headset that's on on your ears and has no read out.

As to having to plug in a headset to listen to the Radio this is the same for all phones as the wire in the headset acts as the radio antenna phones don't have this built internally.

Hope that help clear up the points you raised.

Dogman, yes that helps.

I was being facetious about the earway thing but it is fair to say that I did have one set of earbuds on a standard SE headset get ruined by water in the ear following a swim!
