Thanks for the guidance
When I install the settings received from SE, they automatically update the Java settings too. So I didn't have to make any settings changes.

@freworld
I don't have G activated. My service still shows Celone. Still I can browse and mms

Girish which phone are you using? In Nokia phone u will find "G" but not on SE. In SE above the network reception bars u will find GRPS as just opposite to it. (just above Network signals)

Freworld4u is having Nokia 6600 so he speaks about "G"..

If you can see that then make sure ur GPRS is active, or else do 1 think yar, call CC and ask whether ur GPRS is active or not.

what is ur current balance?

@ stayback
I sometimes hang out from the balcony to get the signal at my residence. N mobile at office is a strict no-no as there's no signal

As for the GPRS symbol, I get a blue globe when accessing web from my phone.

For free GPRS, I tried all sorts of permutations using my current wap and mms settings as well as the settings given in this thread. Haven't tried out the A'tel settings though...

@everyone for whom this trick isn't working Try getting settings from www.cellone.in/select.html and get settings for your region... You will receive settings wit ip 192.168.81.163 but this is non workable.. So i was wondering why they are distributing non workin settings.. Is it so Becoz they are makin an effort to upgrade networks. This message was posted from a Nokia

@Shivam 192.168.081.163
Its working man but
you try this 210.212.31.53
No one is successful here with freworld's trick so do you think that except JAMMU rest of the countries network has not been upgraded?

Guys,

JAMMU is a place where there is low subscribers. Less Subscribers means low income, then how come BSNL upgrade JAMMU except other high Subscribers Region???? No Service provider will upgrade low income region first.

BSNL Free Gprs is true or a fake???

@Freworld4u its your turn now, please reply.

@stayback i think people from other regions are also able to use the trick... And its quite possible tat the Mms apn is doin all the magic Becoz it has happened wit the Airtel too.. Remember god helps those who help themselves.. This message was posted from a Nokia

No shivam mms APN is not doing any magic, if you have have gone through SPARTAN'S thread carefully you will notice that he hasn't mention anywhere to use mms APN. Those who have only wap service (AIRTEL LIVE FOR AIRTEL AND BSNL PORTAL FOR CELLONE) activated, not full gprs, they can get the full internet on pc (not on mobile) using the trick.
