If SE supported Macs better, would that lessen your bias towards Nokia?.

How many times do I have to say this? I only chose Nokia because SE was not meeting my needs and told me that they won't. Isn't that pretty clear? SE does not support Mac's. Much of the support you see is third party or from Apple. SE has others doing their work.

As for being biased, I am biased towards what works for me. Bottom line.

You keep on and on and on with this even after I have made it clear why I changed from SE to Nokia. Do you need me to do it again for you?

I think much of this thread is not necessarily biased towards Nokia but frustration at SE for a lack of innovation and just repackaging of its existing models. Yes there are some that are nice, the w880i ( think this one. the super slim silver model) that I would consider purchasing, but for the most part, after the k800i nothing really innovating and inspiring has come out.

But as I say again, this is all subjective.

Quite agree with that, subjective for sure, don't mind me sapporobaby, i spend 16 hours per day on the lookout for unsubstantiated fanboy material elsewhere, it's my job, lot's of difference between having a brand preferance (like you) and being a fanboy. .

You're getting close but still no cigar. I would still have my M600i if it worked. If SE would support it on a Mac. Nokia is not my brand preference. It is the only brand that happens to be meeting my needs with innovative, high quality products. If SE produces something of interest, I will naturally give them a look.

Example. I had an N800. It was a disaster. Nokia is not really marketing it and positioning it well thus causing confusion about its usage. To the Linux, and developer community, the N800 is the perfect device, but for those that do not have the time nor desire to spend the effort to learn Linux, the N800 could be a nightmare.

yeah, my comment was aimed at sapporobaby, lots of Nokia bias in here i agree

...well, it IS a thread about SE's shortcomings - so, obviously it will feature the opinions of people frustrated with SE's "recent" offerings"! Interestingly, some of the more unqualified bias is served up by the faith-based SE-defenders, who fail to explain why exactly SE "rules"!? I would run the 10 miles to the nearest phone shop, if SE where to come up with a suitable phone tomorrow! They won't...neither will moto***a.... maybe x-mas?

@plankgatan

Well done the most ridiculous couple of statements in any thread the first well may be your opinion to which you are entitled but the second is simply not supported by the facts unfortunately for all of us.

"most ridiculous thread i ever read...............

If only what you said would be true none of us would have to bother with all these threads questioning what has happened to SE.

@sapporobaby

Well in a complete change SE is now saying that their new devices will be supported both by Windows Vista and Apple with the release of a new PC Suite on 22nd June 2007.

Marc
