I have a T68m with R6A (previously R4A I think, and R2A before that). I was having a problem with my phone freezing, resetting and general problems accessing memory (eg Even though I had the name and number in my phone book, it would only display the number with certain callers, and simply freeze with others). I took it to my local service centre and they said they flashed it, put on the latest software and it then passed all the tests. FYI: it is still freezing!
The differences I have seen so far:
-Push Inbox added to Messages menu (I dont even know what that is)
-Does not display remaining seconds after adding voice command
-Upper/lower case mode changed slightly in t9 mode ie pressing the * button after typing a word doesnt cycle upper/lower/title case (i'm annoyed with that because it was better before)
Thats pretty much all I have noticed- doesnt even seem worth the change in number- the least they couldv'e done is allow ringtones for the message alert!
Also, it it normal that when I got the upgrade to R6A I lost all my own pictures plus half of the pictures that came with the T68i (like the sunflower and snowboarder etc) and I lost those MMSs that were in the Inbox (the Happy Birthday, and I'll be Late etc). Is this normal?

About SMS:
I have noticed that they change the behaviour of SMS writing between the different versions. Could somebody please try this on version R6:
I SMS writing -> tap '#'-key 3 times fast.
Do you get smileys and stuff?
I do in R5D...
And how about getting capital letter when pressing '*' after typing a word?

We are now able to fix bluetooth discoverability, and/or diminished battery standby problems associated with remote log client flashing. If you purchased logs from us PRIOR to 03.01.03, we will fix your BT/Standby problems free of charge. Customers will be responsible for all return shipping charges, however. Once the problem is fixed, the phone will be returned with original firmware version it was shipped with.
This offer is valid 03.05.03 to 03.12.03. Please email us if you are interested.
e.g. If you bought the phone with R2E, then you'll get it back with R2E.

Okie dokie....having read all 9 pages without finding the info I'm looking for, I guess it's ok to ask my question.
I have T68i with R5D.
It annoys me that I can receive Nokia's picture messages but can't send them. The T300 can receive also, but can also send them.
So, has this been fixed with R6A? Can someone with a T68i R6A try to send a Nokia picture message (72x28 wbmp images) via SMS please, and tell me if it works?
Thanks.

I live in the US, and currently have v. R2 on my t68i. I called SE and they told me there is not a service center in the US and I would need to mail my phone in to get the firmware update. I need my phone for business so can't be without it for 2 - 3 weeks. Is there any other way to get the firmware upgrade?
Can I download it from anywhere and send it to the phone?
Please HELP.

The only prob i have with r6a is that when i save an MMS to templates that has text in it the text sometimes disappears.
Anyway,i am going to the servicecentre later today to upgrade a t300+t200 and i will see what the latest SW is they have cus i read a thread on Esato that there is a r7a or b013 now available for the t68i,will post my findings later :-)
