Thanks for your answer! It was bought in Sweden, but it might be that it's from norway. Who knows...

maybe...if the guys at Service Center want to pick on you when they find a CDA they know was not supposed to be there

but...you can easily revert to the initial CDA BEFORE sending the phone to them, so they will never know...

its a win/win situation IMO

...and if you brick your phone while changing the CDA due to some error you may get into trouble to get it back up working under warranty.

No risk - no fun

you really donīt know how easy and risk free is to use XS++ do you??? nothing????

i reckon there is more risk of using SEUS LOL

and about bricking a phone, well, i have 5 years of flashing SE phone by myself, never ever there was a problem that could not be solved

what is wrong is scaring people for doing this, a simple measure that will end up the discrimination alot of users have to face, waiting months or forever for an update that WG1 and WG2 users get right on very first day

Is there any CDA that allows you to silence the shutter sound with pictures? I used to have the USA one, then I switched to World Generic 1 a few days ago and updated and I still can't silence it...

I am flashing all kind of firmwares for more than 15 years now and I had to fix several SE phones which where killed by unexperienced users (indeed mainly during the use of SEUS after changing the CDA). Flashing any firmware always is somehow risky. And if you manage to deadflash your phone after you turned your P1 into a P990 via a bad CDA change (I saw this one 3 month ago) you need more than 1-click knowledge to bring it back to life. And you cannot count on warranty in this case.

I did a CDA change on nearly all my SE smartphones during the last years always among the first users and never lost a phone by doing this. But I believe you have to be honest while answering the question: does it void warranty and are there any risks involved. Warranty is voided and there is a slight chance that you may lose your phone.

warranty CAN be voided and yes there is a slight risk...but like i said, the same risk exists...in using SEUS!!! so...

Sorry to be persistent but the risk is quite different. If you brick your phone while using SEUS without further modification it will be fixed under warranty. If you brick it while or as a follow up because of using XS++ or any other deep firmware modification tool - it won't be fixed under warranty.
