No it hasn't been released in Bosnia & Herzegovina officially, but it is available on the black market since it was released! I expect the same thing will happen with 3G iPhone!

@anyone

I have had an O2 contract for about 13 or 14 months. Didn't fancy the first iPhone because of price but love this. Want to upgrade but anyone know if I can in July. I enquired about this with the last iPhone and they said I could upgrade and break out of my contract as long as I had started a contract before last september. From the o2 website it just says they will give me a call when I can upgrade. Is this July or whenever my contract is up

Anyone any idea??

Seems like the 3G iPhone isn't so cheap after all:

This morning we're getting a first look at unsubsidized prices for the iPhone 3G in Europe. Vodafone Italy has set an out-of-contract price for the iPhone 3G at 499/€569 ($773/$881) for the 8GB/16GB models, respectively. Subscription rates have not yet been announced. While steep, those prices are actually smartphone-reasonable in Italy (and around Europe) where an HTC Touch Cruise with its WiFi, tri-band HSDPA data, GPS, and touchscreen sells for €549. Capisce?

Did people really expect it to be the same price without a contract, as it is with one?

Since when were sim free phones the same price as they are on a contract, erm..... never.

no, what I mean is that the 1st gen iPhone was not subsidised.

any other phone, if you don't take a contract you pay one price for the handset and if you do take a contract you pay a cheaper price for the handset

with iPhone 1st gen the actual handset was the same price whether you took a contract or not

so its not unreasonable for people to think it would be the same price now for the 2nd gen with or without a contract, though clearly that would be too good to be true
