That's pretty much what I'm doing, but it's not working for me...
try another file with both thm and swf u can find them if u search around mate sound like the desktop coding in the them is not pointing to the filename of the swf
could rename the swf but you would have to get the correct name

Wolfman, problem solved!
the theme needed to be in phone memory rather on the memory card, so I guess it's an issue with the relative path in the theme configuration? Sweet!

put your correct CDA (CDF) and write
copy with a2uploader to tpa/preset/custom (don't change name)
power on your phone and wait few seconds - now you have correct cda
update with seus

after it worked you can now transfer your theme to your mem card
