Aren't you tempted by the Sammy? Looking at just hardware I think it will take Nokia a while to produce something this powerfull. Or even the leaked s8000.
Yeah I am tempted by the HD (you'd be stooopid not to!) but whenever I read/see pictures/video etc of the sammy HD I always keep coming back to lust for the N97 (don't know why, just guess at the moment the N97 has that elusive 'x factor' for me). Very eager to see & feel both these products in real life though and find out how they perform. Also depends what networks they both appear on when released. If Orange get the HD & not the N97 then i'll quite happliy take that but given the choice as i've mentioned previously i'd much prefer the N97.

I may well land up with the N97 as well but it will be the software that would persuade me. And the hacking issue. Trouble is the omnia will be out a month earlier bar any surprises.

I love S60. I am happy to see, 2 'horses' fighting each other for the 'top spot'. May the best win
Samsung's camera seems to be better. Nokia's support is definitely better. Can't wait to 'test drive' both devices. In 2 or so months I will let you know which one I prefer

Quick question - can you load films onto the N97 from the computer then watch them on any tv via the tv-out? Or is it limited to films recorded via the camera or just pics, like some other phones?

You can watch any film via TV-Out with the Nokia phones that have TV-Out support.
