I would like to know what European sales look like especially UK. They are going fast and I am waiting another month to get one. Hopefully the price comes down another 40-50 quid?

Releasing another one with NFC might be done only in some countries as not all carriers or countries are ready for NFC or it is just not as widespread yet. Therefore this might be just the first foray into NFC to build up for the future. I think it is the same spec phone with only an NFC chip inside.

Merci David, tres jolie photos.

Some GalaxyS2 displays are turning yellow. Click here Phonearena.com

The third paragraph here also says that SGS2 is selling better than iPhone4 in the UK. Any truth?

And there you have it... We now have ClockWorkMod courtesy of Chainfire...

Chainfire's CF Root

Fantastic stuff, a month before I can get mine and we have CWM... Makes me wonder what will be about when I finally get my hands on one! (safely in the knowledge that I can just restore my backup if anything goes tits up)...

Yep, surely if you gotta have an iPhone you wait a little longer for the 5... Otherwise its gotta be the SGII...

There's a new firmware for the SGS2, its XWKE7.

I think its been out a few days but I only noticed last night but I haven't found a change log for it yet.

This time I was able to update without having to hard reset first. nice

sorry, I thought my answer had been given by:-

a) my previous comments AND
b) by my unofficial spokesman

but to to clarify.

I love the SGS2 screen and it is certainly the equivalent of the iPhone 4 given its size, if not resolution and the screen has the most fantastic clarity.

What dissapoints me is android to be honest. This O/S is fine in principal but each manufacturer still seeks to improve on the basics in their own way. But the Android Market is still uninspiring compared to the App Store and mostly what I find is apps that are already available on the App Store, but often of less capability or quality. I put that down to the dev kits and dev support available at this time.

I can fully understand that for people who have not experienced iPhone/iTunes/App Store that the Android Market is the same spectacular/fanscinating place that the App Store was for me when it opened and I had an iPhone with only jailbreak capability, but there really isn't anything I have found there that is as outstanding/captivating and singularly ahead of the competition, as I've seen it all before.

My only wish, and I have now said this several times here on Esato, is that the next iPhone really does have a 4"+ screen to maximise my experience like the iPad has.
