@madmax, store the number in the mobile number (under contacts) so that it will appear in the phone memory.

I am really struggling with myP800, why can't you save so many of the preferences ie. bold text on sms, report on as default etc. or am I missing something. Used Nokia since forever, but just had my 3650 stolen by an 8yr old ! Big prob with Nokia is I can't get the PC suite on my sony comp - so no back up [tragic]. The P800 PC suite went on a treat and sync is bril but answering a call isn't easy ! Am trying flip off now. Any experienced brighter users than me out there - advice please. x

I have a good suggestion for you, read the manual?

Be sure not to set the phone in flight mode or anything, and to answer phonecalls, try pushing ok. Shouldnt be to hard. Good luck

As long as it is an open line unit, there should be no problem. Warranty-wise, make sure you get the unit from legit sources.

I hope you enjoy your P8 but don't expect it to be as user friendly as a Nokia. P8 does a lot but some of the useful Nokia features are missing. The most difficult thing is making a call. If you use flip off you have to get the virtual flip up first. Sped dials have to be assessed before you hit the one you want. It is not a mobile phone. You will need to build it, there are lots of useful applications, you have to choose what is good for you. The only reason I stick with this mini computer is that it backs up to my computer easily and the handwriting recognition is fun.

how do you insert .ogg files into P800? I converted .mp3 files into .ogg, but when I try putting .ogg files into P800, it says files cannot be copied. I suppose P800 doesnt recognize the formats.

any ideas? and plus, I can only reduce my mp3 files by half in memory with .ogg, is there any way to reduce the size more? and if so which convertor? I am using the dbpoweramp

Thank you for any replies

Can anyone help out on this one - it's relevant to me too now!

Steven.

Put it in d:\Media Files\document\unfiled
In dbpoweramp use 64kbps mono 44100hz and you get 4-6 albums. Use 48kbps mono 441000 and I think you can have like 7-10 albums. I use 64kbps mono 441000hz so I got 5 albums. And some books.. and some programs.
