My first report is everything so far is perfect, except the battery life. But. This might be early software or just that it's needing a good run in. But it does worry me because less than 3 minutes after unplugging it from charging and with no usage it's already dropped to 95%. It seems to drop fairly fast from say 100% to 85% fast then slows down. I have only 2 apps in the background What's App and Instagram no NFC,GPS nothing else, only using 3G full signal at home. I drained it till it turned off and charged it up fully overnight on mains not wireless charger. But as soon as I unplugged it the % dropped to 98%. Does anyone know why this happens?? One other oddity is when it was at 4% battery it stayed that way for over an hour. Weird. Kind of reminds me of the poor battery life on the Galaxy S4 I once had

Both my 1520 and 930 drop to 98-99% as soon as it comes of the charger. It been like that since I first got the 1520 some 6 months ago so I wouldn't wait with baited breath on a software fix. I would imagine they would have resolved this by now if they were going to. The good news, In my experience anyway, is that after the initial drop it seems to be a lot more accurate and the battery lasts very well on both handsets. Obviously the 1520 has a longer battery life due to the larger capacity battery

My 930 battery took several charge / discharge cycles before it settled down.

Ah ok well I shall see how it goes. Kinda weird though why it does this I shall give it sometime as I love this phone. Thinking back though my Galaxy S5 did the same it never stayed on 100% for long

@cu015170 did you by any chance feel the earthquake near San Francisco yesterday?? Apparently was a 6.0?? Are you near there??
It was around 80 miles due north of where I live so no.. nothing here, but it was obviously on the strong side. Everyone that moves here knows that California is a major earthquake zone, so.. you kind of sign up to deal with it. Thanks for asking

Guess you get used to the odd rumble now and again but always living on the edge the big one will hit someday. Anyway someone on WP Central said keep the battery topped up over 40% at least and eventually it should hold onto it's full charge. But he also said because of last years SD 800 processor and a less power efficient screen sold to Nokia by Samsung the Lumia 930 battery life will never be that great 😞

But then in WPCentral people said the battery life is ok for a full working day (unplug the phone at 6am, and should have power left up to 9 or 10pm)
I'm looking forward to get mine, supposed to arrive today, delayed due to the bank holiday.
About the Samsung GS5, they tend to explode lol. I will stay away from that one
