Predicting isn't the same thing as rumours Nodar. We all know there will be 4-5 devices in MWC plus many things are predictable.like CPUs.Honestly I didn't click your blog cause I've used and known xperias for a long time.I can come up with better guesses.
Anyway I hope I didn't sound rude, only 35 days to go.I'm Excited and also waiting for Z5 upgrade

I'm only one that not too optimistic on the Congress event

I think Sony will opt same 6 to 7 devices portfolio policy same as year earlier, of course no Tablet as usual

So there will not many devices around, I would expect new XA and XA Ultra 2017 for MWC

and hope they keep wrap up for the next two candidate by Taipei Computex event
(As Sony now keen on increasing presence on Taiwan's upper middle end market share)

and flagship showdown by IFA event, which will truly tough Android's dogfight
Samsung goes full throttle and Nokia make comeback

With no Galaxy S8 at MWC the stage is set for Sony to steal all the major headlines IF there is a new premium branded flagship to be unveiled.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will not be unveiled at MWC

if Sony knew this more than a year ago...
could be the same reason Samsung not releasing it at MWC if it's related to Qualcomm

Sony better make it a HUGE splash

This is not the 1st time Samsung misses MWC with an S Model.

The Galaxy S4 was announced a month after MWC, yet managed to launch around the same time as most phones announced at MWC and then outsell all of them.

It's interesting that no manufacturer seems capable of taking advantage of any Samsung missteps.

Galaxy Note 7 debacle left a wide open door for Sony, HTC, LG etc... yet all failed to even match the S7 Edge.

Very strange.

We should not expect anything spectacular from Sony and there is no way they can steal the S8 show... Forget about it. I gave up on waiting Sony to release the best flagship.

What Sony will do, as always, just a small design facelift, and latest processor and that's it.

The time when Sony was innovator has passed long ago, just make you expectations lowes possible as Sony will once again disappoint us, I am sure! Honestly it looks like Sony is just delaying their mobile death, and I for sure love Sony and I would like them to be the top mobile maker but...

^delaying their mobile death?

You do know that Sony mobile actually made a small profit last financial year and that they've got a significant increase in flagship sales in certain areas around the world and besides Apple, Sony make more profit than any other manufacturer out there per device sold. So if anything Sony are actually starting to build something with the Xperia line-up and I can only see them improving in the next few years.

True but as always, they have the economics right just not the scale.

I've still not seen the huge marketing push they were expecting for the X series. I was expecting 'X's to be seen everywhere

That is nice to see them reporting black numbers but it is worth nothing in the long run if Sony don't aim for delivering better experience in a certain area, the camera department. They also need to build up the brand as a mobile phone maker again. Just look at Nokia for instance, no presence for a while, yet we can expect them to outdo HTC, LG and Sony together in terms of sales. Sony don't have to be in this insignificant player situation at all.
Sony are just have too much pride for their own good.
