That sure is a radical departure from the usual vertical camera lens bump.
Lets hope the internals are similarly radical otherwise it would be hard to upgrade to when coming from the 1 vi or even the 1 v. We'll have to wait and see what significant upgrades their are to justify the rumoured huge price increase.

The answer will probably be AI. More AI to justify the price increase. Also the fact that ram and chips are so expensive now because of AI.
Perfect storm for them to raise prices. I really hope they made big upgrades though..stuff that would justify the changes to the design language. Guess we'll find out in 5 days.

Did you notice from the teaser image that the "ring," the lens at the bottom, is brighter than the others? Could this indicate that this particular camera will be a new development?

Let's hope they don't remove the optical zoom: it was a unique gem.

There are also rumors about the removal of the variable zoom module to introduce, like on Chinese cameras, a fixed lens with a telephoto magnification factor. I sincerely hope not.

Let's hope it is something to brag about.
"When brilliance comes full circle"
Could this mean that the next phone will have a feature that it had previously? Like, years ago? Like an active shutter?

I don't think the bottom lens is brighter. at least it doesn't look that way to me.
"full circle" is definitely a play on words but at the moment, I can't think of what it could be referring to.
Perhaps a hint that they are returning to their roots somehow?

We'll find out on Monday! Surely, after the update to the main module, the wide camera last year, now it's the zoom module's turn.
