I wish to confirm which type of t28 cable i have
at the phone end pins 6,7, 9 joined to 11 and 10 are used.. don't know how they are connected at the serial 9 pin end.
Does anyone have the pinouts showing the connections at both ends ?

i think all the info needed is @
www.totalserver.net
the only thing that is not clear/stated there is that it still (v1.26) does not work with DSS2x... no one confirmed that it works so it isn't till someone proves differently.
I also find it pretty clear and simple here
http://www.totalserver.net/sei.htm#langtimes
which files to upload...
Take care

Okay. I feel that i have probably accesed a lot of information about this from different sorces. I ahve had problems i must admit. But now i know all the things you need to sort the little problems out. The majority of the time you follow Crunchies tutorial, or alternatively you can follow the advice on this link
www.totalserver.net/sei.htm . This link gives you the advice on both how to debrand your phone, so loose all the crap they insist on placing on a phone, also it lets you know that you can unlock your phone as well. However i think you need to buy two credits.
If your getting errors make sure you doa print of the screen, and save it. I know taht this version is the latest so far
www.totalserver.net/downloads/seunlocklatest.zip However when you install it make sure you update it to version 1.26 by clickin info.
Now you have the software go to face off and buy this for £8 this is here
http://www.faceoffmobiles.com[....]and-F500i-unlock--segoldserver
Pay for it and you will get a receipt through, eventually you get your username and password, put them into the corresponding boxes in totalserver 1.26.
Then click on download area. For folk who want your phone in britain this is what i used to debrand my o2 k700i:
Firstly select
Decustomisation file - K700_Decustomize_Firmware.k7s
Then
Normal Firmware File - K700_FIRMWARE_ZONE_1_R2L001.k7s
Language file - K700_Lang_Pack_EU5_R2L001.k7l
Customisation file - K700_EU5_R2L001.k7c
They will be palce in a folder called files. Then connect your phone up and turn it off. For the rest simply follow either crunchies advice or the link to the total server help page. I had the errror 0x002b or whatever it was, and all total server told me to do was to downlaod the latest version. Also make sure you DONT turn the phone on but that you take the battery out at the correct times. My works prefectly now so any other questions ill help if i can

this all sounds great but i'm not sure i'd trust myself to flash my own phone so can any 'shops' do this for me (to take off the bloody orange rubbish on my phone)? I know they won't be 'official' shops probably just dodgy places! ha ha But anyway what would i tell them i want/need them to do and what kind of price do you think i'd be looking at? -i live in the UK.

You only need one credit to debrand the phone...
flashing the initial de-brand firmware DOES NOT USE A CREDIT, like i say in the guide!
Its basically formatting the phone.
you then need to use the credit to flash the firmware, language and latest customisation file (at the same time) in order to successfully have a working unbranded phone.
Make sure you are using the latest client.
put in your user/pass and press INFO and it will update the client.
Version 1.24 of the client had bugs, if you get an error code take screenshots of the error and email the person you bought credit off
I dont get why you are having problems! If you follow my guide you wouldnt get any, i tell you what uses a credit and what doesnt, just read it, nuff said.

The T9 issue is supposed to be resolved in the next version of MultiServer...
There is another logger product out there that has been able to unbrand and flash R2L to the phone with ALL of the T9 dictionaries (for the selected language pack). However, my loyalty is with Murphy (MultiServer), so I will not advertise the other product.
Murphy has been giving us the world's firsts (first to unlock T610, first to flash RSA-protected phones, first to unlock/flash K700) for two years now, and deserves the DISGUSTINGLY large amount of money he's made from it...
