why are you now looking at sony, to try to prove that SE is innovative.
sony is appart from SE. its also easy to say the same about ericsson and its new technology like 3.5 and 4G, bussines solutions and so much more.
guys this is going noway.
SE fans are trying to proof that they are right.
while the old ericsson fans know how it was in the good old days.
there will always be such threads. i myself am a big ericsson fan, and was one of the biggest SE fans. but SE has disapointed me to many times, and so i've decided to undo what i've done. wich means no more SE for anybody i know or see.
but thats just me

I just pointed out a new product where the 3.5 floppy disks are still used as extended removable memory today.

I really find it amazing that someone is actually trying to argue that ANY mobile phone manufacturer isn't innovative, technologically or other wise. I mean innovation is what R & D Departments thrive upon and to look at any small handset like a K600 and imagine the research, imagination, teamwork, design, time and money that went into it, and not call it innovative is frankly outrageous. I have never witnessed anyone argue black is white quite like it?

You've got a point, but I pointed out several times that SE has innovative designers, but havent introduced a totally new feature.
But hey you cant blame them cause theyre new to the scene, and still dont have very steady sales.
Im sure they will invest a lot into R&D and provide us with innovative products once theyve ensured a large amount of marketshare and steady profit.

i believe se doesnt introduce totally new techs on the market like other companys because of market share and strategy. That must be also the reason they usually dont put upgrades of existing techs before any other mobile maker like some companies do. Se is trying to expand their market share and releasing new techs doesnt guarantee that cause other companies ( like nokia) would offer a similar phone for less money cause it has a bigger share than se. Se only releases phones like any other on the market (ex k750i) when it has already guaranteed market for that device (ex k700 for k750). Se cannot go on releasing a bunch of new techs facing the fact of their piece of the market and the fact they can sell u an old tech 3 times before giving u a new one. Usually only companies with majority of the market set the new techs to be sold and thats not se´s case. Ericsson did it but it if had been that much successful ericsson wouldnt have joined forces with sony.
thats what i think....

Hold you 'horses' cowboys and indians

Nokia just sent me a news/letter this morning, showing me the specs of their future releases . . . I was quite surprised to see one model which looks exactly like that of the

P900/910i series

Unfortunately, I forgot to jot down the said Nokia model

!
