yes the quran does mention science and mans exploration into space amongst many other things.
I searched the quran via
http://www.hti.umich.edu/k/koran/simple.html for the word science and had 0 results. Could anyone find a qoute from the quran which use's the word science?

@axxxr
I'm not sure if that page is out of date by a few decades or not, but it's examination of scientific theory is laughable at best. I'm sorry if I sound rude, I don't mean to be.
There is so much I could say about it, I don't know where to begin ...!

Well you can laugh at it.....but i will say just one thing,next time your in london pay a visit to the british library near St.Pancreas station and their you will find stored in the vaults manuscripts written by Islamic scholars which were written many centuries ago..how the Quran gave birth to the idea of Science and Medicine...aswell the basis of modern Mathametics,..Muslims were studying the stars and planets long before galileo..Algebra was invented by Arabs and the inspiration came from the Quran...but don't take my word for it do your own research!

Have a look.

what i really liked about the quran and sciene website was there was no link to the orginal text, just the good doctor saying what he believed the quran meant and didnt bother to show the line of passage he took it from
also it was nice of him not to do much research on man made science by just saying man made scienece had no answers to certain subject some of which i did get answers to when i was at school a long time ago

Taken from the link
http://www.scienceinquran.com/
"The heavens and the earth were created in 6000 of our lunar years, which is equivalent to 5825.24 of our solar years. "
Come on we know thats not true. The earth is not that young!
"NO other atmosphere in the universe is identical to the earth’s atmosphere. "
And this Dr's been all round the universe has he?
On HOW DID WATER COME TO THE EARTH?
"There is no reliable man-made theory."
I think your find there is! (how old is this site

)
"There are animals living in planets other than the earth. Also there are forms of intelligent life living in planets other than the earth. Those intelligent creatures are inferior to the humans. They do not have mind as we humans do, and they do not have the skills of the humans. These inhabited planets may be within our solar system and/or beyond (extraterrestrial planets). "
Proof please
Why no mention of dino's? As afaik no holy book has any info on the dinosaurs?
