What watts of your PSU and check the graphics card’s manual that what it’s recommended.
I have also XFX nVidia 8800gts card. I had problem with it with my 500W PSU and later upgrade to Thermaltake’s Toughpower 750W and its running ok since then. So may be your graphics card need more watts than now it have.

I have a cooler master 460w power supply. But the strange thing is, it has never happened before, and the psu isn't even that old (I'd say about 1 year)
One time I noticed it poped up just after I plugged my soldering iron in, but I don't know how this could have affected the pc, as it was in another plug

In that case, it sounds like your electrical ring main needs looking at!
I'm being serious; it could be caused by brief power sags in the electricity supply to the PSU itself. If the voltage to the PSU drops dramatically, even for a fraction of a second, then so will the voltage output to the computer which, if the sag lasts for long enough, could trigger the warning.

Oh wow, I didn't think it would be that serious. Oh btw when I said different plug, its like one of those double outlets with a power board and lots of stuff, and I plugged it into the other outlet (the one without the power board)

It's not necessarily serious, but I know from a recent electrical safety check of my flat that power sags can be a symptom of overloading or old / faulty wiring.
We had to have most of our flat re-wired because the TV would flick off and on again whenever you switched the light on! It's a good job we're renting...

You could also try rolling back the usb port driver using device manager

Might be worth going into BIOS and resetting it to default settings. My reasoning is that if the computer properly freezes, e.g you can't click icons or even move the mouse then it suggests a BIOS or hardware problem to me.

It could also be a motherboard problem. Sometimes a short in the usb port could damage your usb controller

My vista RC2 SP2 has expired and gone back to Sp1 and my card readers have dissapeared any ideas?
