I know this is a pressty silly question, but a question none the less

I'm thinking of buying a 2GB Pro Duo card now for when I get the p990i. Should I wait and get a 4GB (will it work?) And will the p990i be compatible with new smaller Memory cards Sony are bringing out, and will they be cheaper?

Thanks

You can get 4GB cards now (£130). They will work.

The new MS micro will not work, due to no adaptor, only up to 1GB will be available this year (£40)

Im glad i dont believe the hype anymore..all this anxiety for a handset which will cleary be outdated once it hits the market. And people longing to enlarge their E-penis will lay down 700 euros+ to get an outdated piece of techno....besides from my previous expiriences with the P series i never even used 50% of the features on the phone simply because they are not practical.

Haha, I think that is possibly true for alot of people who will buy this phone, but definately not true for the people on this forum. Most people here are interested, and knowledgable enough to utilise such a phone if they go for it. And people who don't need the functions, won't buy it.

In the general Mobile market though, i'd have to agree. I will definately see people with a p990i in the coming year who will just buy it for rediculous reasons.

Your post won't go down too well here though...!

@ Ibinco : Please explain how this device is, 'cleary' outdated. Can you point out another device, with 3g, wi-fi, flight mode, touch screen, and the processing power of the P990. I have been looking for weeks but really can't find anything. I've no doubt that it won't be long after eventual release that the phone does become shadowed by a slimmer, more powerful, device. But up until now, I can not see a way to justifiably declare the P990 as 'outdated'.

It can not be outdated until another device can suitably replace it, matching and improving on its features. Take the Boeing 747-400 (Jumbo Jet), even after 36 years this is still the king of the skies. Even the new Airbus A380, until it proves itself has not surpassed, and outdated the Jumbo.

@Ibinco

I have a Nokia 9500 and HTC Universal so don't any more e-penis extension...the P990i is strictly a workhorse for me

Do you think the battery would last a full day if I use the MP3 player for about 4 hours and make about 2 hours of calls and send 100ish texts?
