So you mean the homescreen redraws all the icons...
Can you see how much free RAM you have?
Every now and then when i click the HOME soft key from Facebook or WALKMAN or Messages. The Home screen goes empty and then immediately all the widgets show up one by one.even the Media folder icon takes time to show up the icons in the folder.Mind you its NOT ALL THAT SLOW,all happens quickly but its kinda irritating and not smooooth :-. Happened to me around 10 times today but seems fine right now.
Couple of simple things i miss are the Slide to Silent in the lock screen and the Shortcut for Screenshot from Power Button Options(though ICS has Volume Down Key+Power Buttons to capture a screen shot)
Free RAM seems to be one the lower side i guess.

Still worse, on GB 350MB free...
I read so many different & confusing reports, I think I will skip this upgrade.
BTW, don't use Advanced Task Killer, but rather built in app killer...

I believe there is an option under Settings|Apps where you can disable apps you don't want to load into memory.
Also, a factory reset usually cures issues with the kind of issues you have.
