Well the white magic screen in Xperia P came as a complete surprise so I guess there is still hope. Hopefully Sony will have first dibs on the new screens

Very True!

In fact Sony had issued a press release few weeks before Xperia P announcement that only a 3 inch panel was going to be commercialized and that too at a later date than P announcement.
So it will not be a surprise if the Yuga and Odin use White Magic screen as well since White Magic = Sony tech before JDI.
Xperia V has White Magic as well and most of the high end Xperias for 2013 should have White Magic.

*crossing fingers*
The reason why I really want the WhiteMagic tech is I think the Yuga/Odin stands a good chance that it will be crowned the new "best smartphone screen" much like the One X last year. We'll see at CES...
I would be angry if some other company gets access to those panels first. I don't think Sony would be dumb enough to do that.

Was it not rog who said it doesn't? I know unknown13x said it does, but that was ages ago. I though rog said it doesn't, but I may be wrong.

V doesn't have it. The brightness isn't that awesome. BE2 only Hansen processing speed, that's all.

Rog didn't say V doesn't have White Magic. He only said that his V doesn't have the same settings as P. And White Magic doesn't mean the screen HAS to be bright. P has super high brightness but also comparatively poorer black levels and also lower contrast. So it won't be a surprise if Sony has tinkered with the panel and reduced raw brightness.

Im very sure V doesnt have a white magic screen. If it had it, Sony would parade the screen around, which they didnt.

As unknown13x mentioned, WhiteMagic didn't really "sell well to the customers". So White Magic + Mobile Bravia Engine = Mobile Bravia Engine 2
Hence why WhiteMagic is not used for advertising.

BE2 is widely known to only improve speed of image processing and can be ported to other Xperia phones easily.
