BTW:
There's also a speaker comparison between Z1 and Note 3 in the review evilhomura89 posted.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP5Ov4zcJE0

Z1: 80.5 dB
Note 3: 86.6 dB

Even though the Note 3 sounds much better and louder, 80.5 dB are decent I think.

It should be noted (everyone prob knows this already, but just in case) that since decibels work on a logarithmic* scale, the values posted above would make the Note 3 more than 50% louder than the Z1.

(e.g 90 decibels vs 80 decibels is 10 times more intense but is perceived as twice as loud to the human ear)

we need some human science here...
the human ear is organized logaritmically not for intesity (or decibel) but for frequenze (Hz)... still our perception of the intensity is logaritmically percieved as you said, in base 10.
Still our ear can percieve sounds between 0-1dB and 120dB but it need to be noted that from 60-70dB above our Receptors are "full" and the perception of the intensity beacame less precise...
Also if Note 3 is 86 and Z1 is 80, the difference is a mere 6dB... and logaritmically speaking is more or less 4 times...
Also when talking about perception you should always remember what is important is the relative difference... from 0 dB to 6 dB you can percieve a GREAT difference... from 80dB to 86dB the deifference is way LESS!
You should also consider that sensibility and perception depends on frequence... maximum perception is between 400Hz and 4000Hz and high sounds are percieved better than low!

Try hearing a sound at 80 or 86 and tell me if it seems 4 times louder!!!
I do not know how decibel work... but I know how the ear work and also perception... (Medicine Student here... )

I didn't say it was 4 times louder, I said 50% louder. And no where did I say that intensity is equivalent to loudness, which is why I said the following:

"e.g 90 decibels vs 80 decibels is 10 times more intense but is perceived as twice as loud to the human ear"

I'm a bit confused - not too sure if you are agreeing with me or not!

btw I'm agreeing with you all

The difference in loudness is pretty good noticeable in this video

Oops sorry

So far from what I've gathered, viewing angles are not an issue. Screen is as good as Z Ultra.

in italy you can buy the z1 on the sony store for 700 euro bundled with wireless headset for free (they cost 100 euro in the sony store).
or in other site i found that you can buy the Z1 bundled with the smartwatch 2 for 700 euro.

i want to wait a little bit so the major stores will get it, i don't want to pay more than 600 euro for the device and i couldn't care less about the wireless headset or the smartwatch 2:P
