wtf? look at this, its a screenshot of an adobe program (PDF reader) showing black, and ms paint showing black. Why is my black green???? Also look at my screwed up colour selector on photoshop.

Could be a colour profile mis-match maybe? You could try resetting photoshop to defaults by holding down CTRL-ALT-SHIFT (Command+Option+Shift on Mac) whilst photoshop starts up (before the splash screen even).

It is something to do with the colour profiles I think. Having a mess around so far has made it worse lol. Hopefully I will get it right. Oh and btw the ctrl alt shift thing says "delete photoshop settings file" so I pressed yes but its still the same

EDIT: FIXED IT!!!!! Just changed from adobe colour profile to sdm-hs95p colour profile (in ps) and its working perfectly! yay!

I d/ld IE8 final about a week ago. After a few issues I have had enough and want to downgrade back to 7.
On Microsofts website, it refuses to let me d/l v7. I get a message that says (roughly) "You are running Vista, this version of IE comes bundled with Vista".

I tried to d/l IE7 for XP but when installing I get the message "This operating system is not supported"

Can any point me in the direction of IE7 for Vista please?

In Vista, IE 8 is considered an OS update rather than an application. Go to 'add/remove programs' and select 'view installed updates' from the list on the left.

Find IE 8 in the new list that appears, select it and click 'uninstall' at the top.

After confirmation, that should (I repeat, should) remove IE 8 and restore IE 7.

I'm trying to open a download of A2uploader but McAfee keeps blocking it as a virus,
How in gods name do I disable McAfee while I extract the uploader.exe its driving me mad as I cant see a way of turning it off.

It is the temp version that came installed with Vista and has recently expired.

Advice very much appreciated before I lose the will to live.

Are you familiar with using msconfig? If so, you're best bet would be to use it to temporarily stop all Mcafee applications and services from starting up when windows boots.

However, since the anti-virus subscription has expired, you could also just uninstall it, install A2uploader, then find yourself a different anti-virus app. This is how I would tackle the problem personally, since Mcafee is not exactly high up the list of my preferred security apps to put it mildly...

One last thing, are you absolutely sure that this is a false positive? Where did you get your download of A2uploader from?

I got the link from here
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=177034
downloaded all of them I think but all get blocked as virus when I come to run them.

Looks like uninstalling McAfee is likely option as I'm totally self taught pc wise and understand zip about pc's on boot up.

Will have to find a replacement antivirus, as even though its not the greatest it has detected a few things since I got it in december.

Nod32 = FTW. I can just turn it off by right clicking if I want. Anyway, what I do is keep a2uploader in a rar with a password on it, when I need to use it, I disable nod32.

And, IMO a2 uploader does contain a virus, but I haven't seen any ill-effects of it yet, and its the only program out there.
