Even samsung is responding to the chinese oems flooding the market with phones for a bargain
At least sony should offer something which can garner the interest of people
Why cant they put battery north of 4k mah in their phones?

Because then you have to use high density batteries which degrade quicker than normal density ones, heat up more, swell more.......goes completely against what they do with adaptive charging and battery care

@lonewolf: exactly, that's what I was talking about. Everybody is increasing the battery capacity, sony is decreasing it instead. Unbelievable how stupid they are.
@nj22: I'm sorry but I have to disagree. How can a battery with higher capacity degrade quicker than a battery with lower one? Battery degradation depends on usage pattern and the battery technology itself. The advantage in bigger capacity is that even if the battery degrades, it still has more capacity than the other battery that has more capacity (when used in the same condition at the same time).

They are just maintaining their mobile division just for the sake of it and arent expecting any profit from it.
The executives at sony were stubborn and didnt act when it mattered and got the mobile division into this doom.They cant reach the level that they have set in our minds anymore
Sony Mobile's new boss is the guy that brought the Alpha cameras to where they are now. Let's see...

What's the price of new A series? I just know they no longer are glass, but plastic .
Last year even J series got overpriced.
SD450 for the price of 630/636 devices here...
XA series has always looked better than renders in the end.
It is nice to know speakers may be stereo and like XJ said hdr screen is possible.
But same cpu of last generation, worse cam setup and almost 20% less battery is frustrating.
It should at least be 636, 4Gb, 3500mAh and 19MP + 8MP for the smaller .
I doubt the other will have more than 3240 mAh.
