It is better to check with Ericserve on how to fix a BT headset before you get one.

If it is like those thread in Europe which said they get a one to one swap, then it is good to get from Ericserve....especially the guys will be more knowledgable then normal phone shop.

Plus, we have saw so many thread with User bringing in a spoiled HBH-15 and ends up with a new HBH-30 (under waranty). tht's the real benefit I saw to get a BT headset with warranty.

fellow esato members
am having a discussion with an esato members, just to get some confirmation with u guys
if u have identified a stolen handphone and know the imei code, it is possible to block the phone with that imei to assess any of the networks( well..not in m'sia i guess but is done overseas la). But for bluetooth headset, even if u know it is stolen, it is impossible to block it since the connection is only between the phone and the headset itself coz it does not directly involve any networks, right? Unless the thief is stupid enough to hand the stolen HBH to any service centre and programmed to block it after identifying it's a stolen set la

@veon18: yes!! u r right about stolen handsets overseas....network operators overseas can and will block imei to render the stolen phone useless on the system...however this is not practised in m'sia..not yet anyway...

regarding the question on the headset....it's possible to reset the headset to its original settings on the headset, i.e., without anything done to the paired handset....in this manner, the headset can then be re-paired to another enabled phone.....there will be no need to bring the headset to the network or service provider, hence making the headset an easy target for theft.....there is virtually NO way to deter the headset from being used by the thief once u haf lost possession of it ....best advise is to be darn careful....

hope i haf helped answer yr questions.....

shithappens,
thanks for ur confirmation, have the same view as u. If a BT headset can be blocked to connect with your SE phone without having physical assess to it, it will be a dread. Can't imagine one day we wake up and find that our MCA-20/25 or even our normal handsfree is blocked from connecting with our phones..hehe
