OK, posted my opinion on the ZZ vs. RR thread. Now to get back to contraceptives.
The pill causes weight gain, whereas the shot causes weight instability, which is completely different, overall, I do have to say that weight instability is better than gain. On the other hand if you are looking to have kids soon you have to be careful with the shot since it could take up to a year to get your period back.
Am I making this a thread totally useless and uncomfortable for men
Its probably good that they learn about this stuff anyway...

fabrizio, if you want to get really uncomfortable let me tell you that a week after our second kid was born I had the vasectomy... now thats a great contraceptive! I even sat up slightly and watched them do it as it was only a local anaesthetic!

OK Masseur, you have achieved both: 1. to unsettle my stomach.
any surgery down there makes me feel a bit light headed. 2. to make me feel somewhat uncomfortable. Though I do have to say, that I've heard wonders regarding that intervention, from female friends, not probably the right place to discuss why.
